Close Call: Truck's Wide Load Nearly Decapitates Motorcyclist!

【Close Call】Even a little bit over can be fatal!
Recently saw a video on Threads that nearly gave me a heart attack 💀 A motorcyclist was riding normally when a truck ahead, carrying a large board, extended horizontally beyond the vehicle's body. From the rider's perspective, the board had no warning signs at all, and it only appeared suddenly when it was right in front of them!
In that split second, the board was aimed right at the neck. If they had reacted a second slower, it could have been "off with their head." The rider ducked in the nick of time, and the board only scraped their helmet —— Luckily, their head is still on! They really laughed in the face of death this time 😅

Why is This So Dangerous?
Many people think, "It's just sticking out a little, it should be fine, right?" ❌ Wrong! For a motorcyclist, even 10 centimeters can be a decapitating blade.
Reasons:
- Rider's Blind Spot: From a rider's perspective, it's very difficult to notice a protruding object from the side of a truck, especially while moving.
- Extremely Short Reaction Time: Motorcycles are fast. By the time the danger is realized, there's often less than a second to react.
- Fatal Attack Height: The height of the protruding board is perfectly aligned with a motorcyclist's head and neck.
This isn't a small problem, it's a fatal one!
What Do the Regulations Say?
According to the Road Traffic Safety Rules, there are strict regulations for loading cargo on vehicles:
- Width: Must not exceed the vehicle's body.
- Length: Must not extend beyond the front of the vehicle, and must not extend more than 30% of the vehicle's total length from the rear.
- Warning Objects: If the cargo significantly exceeds the vehicle's body, it must have conspicuous warning signs, such as red flags; at night, lights or reflective markers must be added.
The truck driver in the video clearly did not follow the regulations at all.
⚠️ Even if it's just "a little bit over," for a motorcyclist, it's a matter of life and death. Please, all truck drivers, don't gamble with other people's lives just for a moment of convenience. This is not just a violation, it's a life-threatening act.
